A Hotel with plants growing on the outside of the building.  Really cool concept and Santiago could do more of this to battle against the terrible pollution that lingers in the city.  This is around the border of Providencia and Las Condes

Closing the blog shortly :(

This blog which I am proud to say has over 1000 views will come to an end shortly due to myself going back to Calgary on May 16th.  I also am leaving tomorrow for Miami for 10 days.  So upon returning there will be about a week left of posts and then I will be finished with the blog.  However I am going to keep the website and will re-post again as I will be back in Santiago in  early August 2012.

Office buildings

Hello so since I last posted I felt my first earthquake, 6.5 on the richter scale.  Was a pretty cool experience.  Anyways, here are some office buildings around the park I like to play basketball at.

Calm before the storm

The food court in Santiago's most modern mall, Parque Arauco.  This picture was taken before lunch when all the seats would be full.

Fire Drill

Looks like this abandoned building was set on fire.  Condo's are being built around this building.

My basketball court

So it is extremely hard to find basketball hoops in Santiago.  However, there is this public court that has people playing.  It is about 10 mins from my pad.  I will plan to go here lots during my stay.
